Job summary

The VIOS Clinic is seeking a Mammography Technologist to support a regional float team across multiple facilities, delivering safe, high-quality mammography exams and compassionate patient care. You will ensure accurate image quality, maintain detailed documentation in PACS/RIS, and perform routine quality control while supporting infection control and patient safety in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital Radiologic Technologist and Mammography experience.
• ARRT-R Mammography, ARRT-R Radiography, and BLS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician orders and explain procedures to ease anxiety.
• Review images for quality, ensure first-time acceptance, and operate equipment safely.
• Complete quality control tests and document images in PACS/RIS.
• Maintain patient privacy, comfort, and safety during positioning and transfers.
• Support infection control, keep the suite stocked, and assist in emergencies.
• Provide instructions and training support for new team members.
• Communicate professionally and stay current with imaging updates in a fast-paced team.

Seeking a Mammography Technologist to support a variety of imaging services across multiple facilities in a regional float team. The role involves delivering safe, high-quality mammography exams while providing compassionate patient care and ensuring accurate image quality and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician orders, confirming patient identity and explaining procedures to reduce anxiety.


• Ensure patient privacy, comfort, and safety during positioning and transfers.


• Review images for quality, maintaining first-time acceptance standards, and operate equipment safely.


• Complete quality control tests, maintain records, and ensure images are properly labeled and documented in PACS/RIS.


• Support infection control, keep the suite clean and stocked, and assist in emergencies or other imaging areas as needed.


• Provide clear instructions, address patient questions, and support training of new team members.


• Maintain professional communication, stay current with educational updates, and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.


• Minimum 2 years of hospital-based Radiologic Technologist and Mammography experience.


• Certifications in ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), and BLS.


• Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, positioning, radiation safety, and mammography standards.
