Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Mammography Technologist I to perform screening and diagnostic mammography, ensuring accurate imaging and patient comfort.

This role requires adherence to safety standards, collaboration with Radiologists, and compliance with FDA/MQSA and ACR requirements. Candidates should have 1-3 years imaging experience and ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years radiologic imaging experience.
• 2-4 years as a mammographer in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist per state requirements.
• ARRT Radiography Certification required; ARRT Mammography certification or eligibility within six (6) months.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammography imaging procedures with high-quality images through proper positioning, technique, and compression.
• Adheres to safety protocols and radiation protection standards.
• Ensures equipment functionality and routine quality control testing per ACR and FDA/MQSA requirements.
• Reviews physician orders and patient history to verify procedures.
• Educates patients on breast health and procedure expectations.
• Assists radiologists with FNA, localizations, and biopsies while maintaining sterile technique.
• Prepares patients for invasive mammography-guided procedures and post-procedure care.
• Maintains documentation and image storage per regulations.
• Manages mammography inventory and supplies for daily operations.
