Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Mammography Technologist I to perform screening and diagnostic mammography with accuracy and patient comfort. The role requires strong technical skills, adherence to safety standards, and collaboration with Radiologists and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities include image quality control, procedure documentation, patient education, and support for mammography-guided procedures while complying with FDA/MQSA and ACR requirements.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist with state licensure.
• ARRT Radiography Certification required; Mammography certification/eligibility within 6 months.
• BCLS certification required; patient safety and care are essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography with proper positioning and compression for high-quality images.
• Adhere to safety protocols, radiation protection, and infection control guidelines.
• Ensure equipment functionality and routine QC per ACR/FDA guidance.
• Review physician orders and patient history to verify procedures.
• Educate patients on breast health and procedure expectations with professionalism.
• Assist radiologists with mammography-guided procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Prepare patients for invasive procedures and provide post-procedure instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation and image storage per regulations; manage inventory and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain reliable attendance.
