Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. in Texas is seeking a Mammography Technologist I to perform screening and diagnostic mammography with high technical proficiency.

You will work with Radiologists and staff to ensure accurate imaging and patient comfort while complying with safety and regulatory standards. Requirements include 1-3 years in radiologic imaging, ARRT radiography certification, mammography credential or eligibility, and BCLS.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of radiologic imaging experience required.
• 2-4 years in mammography preferred in acute care settings.
• ARRT radiography certification is required.
• Mammography certification or eligibility within 6 months of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammography with proper positioning and compression.
• Adheres to radiation safety and infection control guidelines.
• Ensures equipment functionality and quality control per standards.
• Reviews orders and patient history for correct procedures.
• Educates patients on breast health and procedure expectations.
• Assists radiologists with image-guided procedures while maintaining sterile technique.
• Prepares patients for invasive procedures and provides post-procedure care guidance.
• Maintains documentation and image storage per regulations.
• Manages inventory and supplies for daily operations.
