Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Mammography Technologist I (PRN) to perform screening and diagnostic mammography with high technical proficiency.

The role collaborates with Radiologists and staff to ensure accurate imaging, patient comfort, and strict adherence to FDA/MQSA and ACR standards. Responsibilities include safe positioning, quality control, and patient education while maintaining comprehensive records and inventory for daily operations.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of radiologic imaging experience.
• 2-4 years as a mammographer in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography with proper positioning and compression.
• Adhere to safety, radiation protection, and infection control guidelines.
• Ensure equipment functionality and routine quality control per ACR and FDA/MQSA.
• Review orders and patient history for accurate imaging.
• Educate patients on breast health and procedure expectations.
• Assist radiologists with FNA, needle localizations, and biopsies.
• Prepare patients for invasive mammography-guided procedures and provide post-procedure guidance.
• Maintain documentation and image storage per regulations.
• Manage mammography inventory and supplies.
