Job summary

Community Health Systems, Inc. seeks a Mammography Technologist II to perform screening and diagnostic mammography with precision, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient safety while adhering to FDA/MQSA, ACR, and state standards.

You will maintain and operate mammography equipment, manage QA/QC, document workflows, and assist radiologists with additional views as needed, while providing patient education and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience in mammography or diagnostic imaging.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist as applicable by state.
• ARRT Radiography Certification required.
• (M) ARDMS or ARRT - Mammography required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support required.

Responsibilities

• Performs screening and diagnostic mammograms with proper positioning and technique.
• Ensures compliance with radiation safety, infection control, and privacy rules.
• Verifies and updates PACS/RIS, documents records and images accurately.
• Maintains and operates mammography equipment; conducts quality control checks.
• Ensures procedures are ordered, verified, and acknowledged with documentation.
• Prepares patients and provides post-procedure guidance and education.
• Assists radiologists with additional imaging views as needed.
• Stocks and maintains exam rooms and equipment; supports MQSA compliance.
