Job summary

VillageMD is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our Imaging department in New Jersey. You will produce quality mammography images, safeguard patient safety, educate patients, and follow radiology protocols.

The role requires ARRT registration, state licensure, and a strong focus on ALARA while delivering compassionate care. Travel to satellite locations may be required, with a Monday-Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT registration in Radiography (R) is required.
• Advanced Mammography registry (M) is required.
• Must have NJ State Radiographer License in good standing.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Minimum 2 years of Mammography experience.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality mammography images for interpretation.
• Assumes responsibility for patient safety by utilizing proper exposure and protective measures.
• Educates and explains procedures to patients.
• Follows department protocols for procedures unless otherwise specified by the Radiologist.
• Obtains and documents patient history and pertinent information.
• Communicates with attending Radiologists and verifies provider orders.
• Adheres to infection control standards specific to patient care.
• Operates medical imaging equipment properly and safely.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and QA/QC as mandated by ACR/MQSA.
