Job summary

The position requires ARRT certifications (R and M), MQSA compliance, and BLS. It is a part-time float role with opportunities to mentor students and maintain ongoing professional development in radiology.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from an accredited radiologic technology program.
• ARRT certification in Radiography (R) required.
• Advanced ARRT Mammography (M) certification required.
• Current state radiologic technologist license if applicable.
• Minimum 1 year mammography experience preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• MQSA compliance with 15 breast CEU's every 3 years.
• Mammography training documentation including 25 signed-off exams.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations per protocols.
• Position patients accurately with proper compression and comfort.
• Set exposure parameters to optimize image quality while minimizing dose (ALARA).
• Operate and maintain mammography equipment.
• Monitor image quality and document/label images correctly.
• Verify patient identity and explain procedures clearly.
• Maintain radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Perform quality assurance activities.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to students during clinical rotations.
