Job summary

The Mammography Technologist at The Hospital of Central Connecticut will perform diagnostic and therapeutic mammographic procedures, including tomosynthesis, to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. The role offers the chance to cross-train in DEXA, stereotactic/needle localization, and Contrast Enhanced Mammography within a modern imaging suite.

We seek candidates who are Radiologic Technologists with Mammography experience, CT radiography licensure, and ARRT credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiography program.
• CT State Radiographer's License required.
• ARRT (R) required - ARRT (M) preferred.
• Current xray and mammography experience highly preferred.
• Acute care experience and experience with invasive procedures is very highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic mammographic procedures per established protocols to assist the referring physician in diagnosis and treatment.
• Operate digital tomosynthesis mammography equipment and perform procedures; opportunity to train in DEXA, stereotactic/needle localization procedures and Contrast Enhanced Mammography.
• Support a state-of-the-art mammography suite with GE Pristina units and ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging.
