Job summary

Summit Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform radiologic imaging under physician guidelines. The role requires strict adherence to radiation safety, patient identification, and accurate documentation for PACS routing.

Maintain superior diagnostic imaging in accordance with standardized procedures.
Excellent patient and people skills.
Ability to maintain continuing education credits and professional licenses.
Cross-training to support department needs.

Responsibilities

Follow radiation safety protocols to minimize exposure for patients and staff.
Verify patient identification and route studies to PACS.
Maintain daily patient logs and track imaging studies.
Operate radiography equipment to produce high-quality images.
Gather essential information from patients and records for clinical correlation.
Prepare and assist patients for mammographic imaging as requested by a physician.
Educate patients about procedures and processes.
