Job summary

Summit Health Management is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic mammography and breast imaging in a patient-centered outpatient setting across NY and CT locations. You will deliver MQSA-compliant images, educate patients, and support QA activities.

Required NYS Radiologic Technologist license, ARRT Mammography certification, and BLS. Competence with PACS/RIS and DBT is preferred; strong communication and independent work skills are essential.

Qualifications

• MQSA compliance knowledge
• MQSA/ACR standards familiarity
• Ability to perform QA/QC testing
• Proficiency with PACS/RIS workflows and DBT is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammographic exams (2D and DBT) per physician orders and radiology protocols.
• Obtain patient history, verify identity, explain procedures, and provide patient-centered care and education.
• Achieve optimum image quality through positioning, exposure technique, and compression.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC tests and document results.
• Ensure MQSA and ACR regulatory compliance and proper recordkeeping.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment and support cross-training across modalities.
