Job summary

Summit Health Management seeks a Radiologic Technologist specializing in mammography to join our imaging team. You will produce high‑quality mammography images, ensure patient safety, and educate patients about procedures. The role requires ARRT(R) and Mammography (M) credentials, NJ license, and 2+ years of experience.

Expect travel to satellite locations and adherence to ALARA and safety guidelines. Strong communication skills, EMR/RIS/PACS proficiency, and a patient‑centered approach are

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) required.
• Advanced registry in Mammography (M) required.
• Must have current NJ State Radiographer License in good standing.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• 2+ years’ experience performing Mammography required.
• Ability to communicate in English, both orally and in writing.
• Familiar with Electronic Medical Record System (EMR), RIS and PACS.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality mammography images for interpretation.
• Assumes responsibility for patient safety by utilizing proper exposure and protective measures.
• Educates and explains procedures to patients.
• Follows department protocol for procedures unless overridden by Radiologist.
• Obtains and documents patient history and pertinent information.
• Ensures proper identification of patient and demographics in PACS.
• Communicates with attending Radiologists and verifies orders.
• Adheres to infection control standards in patient care.
• Operates imaging equipment safely and effectively.
• Demonstrates awareness of Radiation Safety Procedures for self and others.
• Performs QC checks to ensure equipment is in good condition.
• Follows mammography protocols for needle localizations and stereotactic biopsies.
