Job summary

Wellstar Cobb Breast and X-Ray Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide safe, high‑quality imaging and supportive patient communication. This part‑time opportunity offers a predictable weekday schedule within a collaborative imaging team, balancing clinical work with life outside the hospital.

You will perform exams, ensure image quality, and stay compliant with safety and documentation standards while supporting training of new team members.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of Radiologic Technologist experience.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of mammography experience in a hospital.
• Certifications: ARRT-R (Radiography), ARRT-M (Mammography), BLS (American Heart Association).

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography exams per physician order and protocol.
• Gather relevant history and explain the exam clearly (AIDET) to reduce anxiety.
• Protect patient privacy, dignity and comfort during positioning and transfers.
• Review images for quality and completeness with focus on first-time acceptance.
• Operate mammography equipment safely and ensure infection control guidelines are followed.
• Document QC tests and ensure proper labeling and PACS/RIS entry.
