Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic mammography images under supervision of the Department Director/Manager/Lead. The role focuses on patient safety and accurate imaging as the first line interface with patients.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of mammography experience, ARRT Mammography certification, and a current BLS credential; responsibility includes operating the mammography unit and contributing to patient care

Qualifications

• 2 years prior Mammography experience.
• Certified Mammographer through ARRT.
• Graduate from an approved school in Radiologic Technology.
• Current ARRT Certification in Radiology and Mammography.
• Must have current BLS certification and remain current thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic mammography images and ensure patient safety protocols.
• Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their mammogram.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms and operate a mammography unit.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.
