Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, VA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to prepare patients and perform screening and diagnostic mammography, bone densitometry, and related imaging procedures under Radiologist supervision. You will ensure high-quality images, patient safety, and timely communication with the Radiology team.

The role requires ARRT(R) certification (M preferred), Virginia licensure, BLS, and at least six months of mammography experience.

Qualifications

• VA Radiologic Technologist license required.
• ARRT registration preferred; if not M registerable, registry within one year.
• Minimum six months radiology/mammography experience; cross-training programs valued.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and perform mammography and bone densitometry per orders and protocols.
• Maintain safety, image quality, and documentation for timely radiology interpretation.
• Operate CAD tools and ensure proper image transfer to Radiologist.
• Participate in accreditation processes and quality improvement activities.
