RadNet is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our radiology team. The role focuses on high-quality imaging and patient care in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Expected duties include operating mammography equipment, adjusting exposure and compression settings, and ensuring patient comfort while delivering accurate diagnostic images. A strong emphasis on professionalism and teamwork is required.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required or equivalent.
• State license in diagnostic radiologic technology.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment following policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images promptly with great patient care.
• Adjust compression, exposure, KvP, Mas, grid, focal spot, AEC settings for best images.
• Monitor patient wellbeing during exams and respond to issues.
• Explain procedures and answer patient questions.
• Respond to physician questions regarding patients.
• Safeguard patient information and site medications per policy.
• Protect company property and patient data on site or portals.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain teamwork and patient flow.

You Will

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• ARRT(R)(M) certification
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
• Must have BLS certification
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!

Pay Range: $65.00 – $75.00 per hour
