Job summary

Hmixray in Modesto, CA seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging with a focus on patient care and high-quality results. You will operate mammography equipment, adjust technical factors, and ensure comfort and safety throughout exams.

Requirements include ARRT certification, state radiologic license, and BLS. One year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred; generous sign-on and benefits are offered in a team-focused radiology environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.
• State license to practice radiologic technology is required.

• At least 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and related devices per policies and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner with excellent patient care.
• Understand and adjust compression, exposure modes, KvP, Mas, grid, focal spot size, AEC, and related factors to optimize image quality.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues appropriately.
• Guide patients through the examination process with clear explanations and answers to questions.

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(R)(M) certification
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
• BLS certification
