Job summary

Leading Radiology Forward is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Escondido, CA. You will operate mammography equipment, produce high-quality images, and ensure patient comfort throughout the exam. The role emphasizes clear communication and compassionate patient interaction.

Requirements include ARRT(R)(M) certification, state license, and BLS certification, with at least one year of imaging experience preferred. Competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection and other adjustments to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well-being during exams and take appropriate action if needed.
• Guide patients through the exam process and answer questions and concerns.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and staff.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

Pay Range: $46.00 - $62.00 per hour
