Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Fremont, CA to operate mammographic and related imaging equipment, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images and outstanding patient care. The role emphasizes patient comfort, clear communication, and adherence to safety protocols within a fast-paced radiology environment.

Required ARRT(R)(M) certification, state licensure in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, and BLS.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R)(M) certification is required.
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology is required.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and other devices per policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner with excellent patient care.
• Understand and adjust exposure, compression, KvP, Mas, grid, focal spot, AEC and related settings to optimize image quality.
• Monitor patients during exams and respond to any discomfort or medical issues.
• Guide patients through the exam steps and answer questions and concerns.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.

You Will

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• ARRT(R)(M) certification
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
• BLS certification
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred!

Pay Range: $55.00 - $75.00 per hour
