Job summary

RadNet is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our radiology team in California. You will operate mammographic equipment, produce diagnostic images, and ensure patient comfort throughout the procedure.

The role requires ARRT(R)(M) certification, state licensure in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, and BLS certification. Prior diagnostic imaging experience is preferred, with a commitment to quality patient care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R)(M) certification is required.
• State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology required.
• BLS certification required.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment per policies and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images promptly with excellent patient care.
• Adjust exposure settings and compression to obtain optimal images.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to issues calmly.
• Guide patients through procedures and answer questions about exams.
• Address physician questions regarding patients during exams.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications as required.
• Maintain professional behavior with patients and coworkers.

You Will

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• ARRT(R)(M) certification

Pay Range: $47.00 - $59.00 per hour
