Qualifications

Mammography Technologist
Full Time Day Shift 8A-4:30P with rotating Saturday
Bethlehem, Pa

Job Summary:Performs breast imaging exams, which may include but is not limited to: screening and diagnostic mammographic breast imaging exams, invasive breast procedures as assigned. Creates an environment of patient safety and compliance according to the standards established by governing body requirements. Maintains oversight for quality control for equipment. Performing basic clerical duties such as patient registration and/or appointment scheduling may be required at some locations. Participates in site and shift rotations, as necessary.

Education - Required:

• Specialized Diploma Graduate of AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology and
• Specialized Diploma registered Mammography Technologist certification

Experience - Preferred:

• 1 year experience in screening and diagnostic breast imaging or
• Experience with full-field digital mammography and/or 3D mammographic imaging

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Required:

• Ability to initiate, accept, and adapt to constant change within a healthcare environment.
• Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
• Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to perform quality imaging and communicate with patients
• Flexibility in work hours and/or sites to meet identified needs. Performs necessary assignments as directed

Certifications - Required:

• ARRT Radiography Certification RT(R) Upon Hire
• CMT - Certified Mammography Tech Mammography certification (M) Upon Hire
• BLS - Basic Life Support within 60 Days
