Job Title: Radiologic Technologist - Mammography

Location: Fern Hill Medical Campus - 915 Old Fern Hill Rd, West Chester, PA 19380

Hours: 0.01 (PRN), Day Shift

Responsibilities:

• Under the direction of a radiologist, perform high-quality diagnostic imaging examinations using ingenuity, initiative, and independent judgment, ensuring patient safety and timely procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Follow physicians' orders precisely, maintain accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure, and conform to radiation safety regulations to protect staff, patients, and co-workers.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Obtain patient history, explain procedures, gain consent for contrast administration, and address patient concerns.
• Verify accuracy of prescriptions, handle precertification/authorization if needed, and ensure correct patient identification.
• Perform procedures following appropriate imaging protocols, considering patient age and safety tools.
• Compile and review images, provide comparison studies, and prepare documentation for interpretation.
• Conduct quality control testing mandated by MQSA and FDA regulations.
• Participate in QC for annual MQSA inspection and ACR accreditation.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, replenish supplies, and ensure departmental readiness.
• Proficiently use hospital information systems such as RIS, PACS, and Soarian.

Credentials:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program resulting in a two-year certificate and/or associate degree required.
• Bachelor of Arts or Science preferred.
