Description:

Mammography Technologist, PRN Various Shifts position with St Mary’s Hospital, in Athens, GA.

What you will do:

1. Perform ordered mammography examinations in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the radiologists.
2. Maintain technical competency through continued education.
3. Perform equipment quality checks, troubleshoot problems, call for service, and notify all pertinent team members.
4. Follow quality assurance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.
5. Enter patient questionnaires, release forms, and all other paperwork into the system.

What you will need:

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Advanced registry in mammography required. Continuing education credits in Mammography required.

• Education: Graduate of formal radiographic technology training in an AMA-approved school.
• Experience: Two years mammography experience preferred. Previous experience in a dedicated breast imaging center and/or mobile mammography program is desired.
