Job summary

AdventHealth Castle Rock is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform imaging procedures, maintain high-quality patient care, and support breast center initiatives. The role requires experience in stereotactic core biopsies, seed implants, and collaboration with radiologists.

Part-time position in Colorado, with duties including patient safety, documentation in EMR/PACS, and adherence to MQSA and ACR guidelines. BLS and ARRRT radiology licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Mammography procedures and positions.
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors.
• Knowledge of MQSA and ACR regulations.
• Ability to review prior images and distinguish area of interest.
• Ability to perform needle localizations, stereotactic core biopsies, and seed implants.
• Ability to train other Mammography Technologists in special procedures.
• Ability to work with radiologists and breast imaging staff.
• Work with ACR accreditation of special procedures equipment.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Experience with Mammography quality control and safety checks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient tracking and recalls; coordinates imaging and scheduling.
• Maintains EMR and PACS documentation.
• Performs high-quality examinations per orders and protocols.
• Keeps exam rooms clean, stocked, and equipment safe.
• Supports breast center accreditation and community events.
• Follows patient identification, consent, and time-out procedures.
