Job summary

Henry Ford Medical Group seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform radiologic breast imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires ARRT Mammography registration or registry eligibility, with registration to be obtained within 12 months of hire.

The position demands strict adherence to MQSA criteria, ongoing CME hours, and safe radiographic practices. Shift is rotating, within Henry Ford Medical Group's Mammography-Clin Plymouth2 department.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be registered with ARRT and advanced registry in Mammography (M) or registry eligible.
• If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
• Must meet MQSA criteria and other regulatory requirements.

Job description

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs Radiologic breast imaging procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols. Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible).

If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.

Failure to obtain registry within the designated timeframe will result in termination of the Mammography Tech position.

Must maintain the required hours of continued medical education.

Must meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria, as well as other regulatory agencies.
