Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Mammography Technician in Dearborn, MI. Under a Radiologist's direction, you will perform radiologic breast imaging procedures and utilize your independent judgement in technique and safety practices. A High School Diploma and ARRT registration are required. This position requires maintaining continued medical education hours and meeting the Mammography Quality Standards Act criteria. The job is a day shift role within the Breast Imaging department.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography.
• Failure to obtain registry within 12 months of hire will result in termination.
• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs Radiologic breast imaging procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols. Utilizes independent judgement in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible).
• If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
• Failure to obtain registry within the designated time‑frame will result in termination of the Mammography Tech position.
• Must maintain the required hours of continued medical education.
• Must meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria, as well as other regulatory agencies.
