Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Mammography Tech to perform radiologic breast imaging procedures under the direction of a Radiologist. The role requires ARRT Mammography certification or registry eligibility, with timely registry completion if eligible, and adherence to MQSA standards.

Will work in a dynamic Radiology department, maintaining education requirements and following department protocols to ensure patient safety and high-quality imaging results.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be registered with the ARRT and the advanced Mammography registry (M) or registry eligible.
• If registry eligible, must obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Must maintain required hours of continuing medical education.
• Must meet MQSA criteria and other regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs radiologic breast imaging procedures for evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician.
• Performs related functions according to department protocols.
• Uses independent judgment in selecting radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs Radiologic breast imaging procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols. Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.

Qualifications

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible).

If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.

Failure to obtain registry within the designated timeframe will result in termination of the Mammography Tech position.

Must maintain the required hours of continued medical education.

Must meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria, as well as other regulatory agencies.
