Job summary

Henry Ford Providence Hospitals HFPNH Mammography Livonia unit seeks a Mammography Technologist under the direction of a Radiologist to perform radiologic breast imaging procedures for evaluation of pathology as ordered by physicians.

The role requires ARRT Mammography registry (or registry eligible with 12 months to obtain it), a high school diploma, adherence to MQSA, and ongoing continuing education as mandated by regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required.
• Must be registered with ARRT and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) or registry eligible.
• If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.
• Must meet MQSA criteria and maintain required hours of continued medical education.

Job description

Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs Radiologic breast imaging procedures for the evaluation of pathological entities as ordered by a physician. Performs related functions according to department protocols. Utilizes independent judgment in determining appropriate radiographic techniques, positioning, and safety practices.

Education & Experience

High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.

Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the advanced registry in Mammography, ARRT (M) (or registry eligible).

If registry eligible, registry must be obtained within 12 months of date of hire.

Failure to obtain registry within the designated timeframe will result in termination of the Mammography Tech position.

Must maintain the required hours of continued medical education.

Must meet all Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) criteria, as well as other regulatory agencies.
