Job summary

Key People in New York City is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform 3D digital mammography and contribute to early detection of breast disease within a collaborative imaging team in a private practice setting in Manhattan.

You will deliver high-quality diagnostic images, uphold MQSA/ACR standards, and provide compassionate patient care while working alongside dedicated radiology professionals in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of mammography experience.
• ARRT Registration R.T.(R) is required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) is required.
• State Department of Radiation Control License is required if applicable.
• Maintain registry status and continuing education.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammograms and quality control procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammograms.
• Apply analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information.
• Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
• Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
• Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating when necessary.
• Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements.
• Adhere to continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA.

The Mammography Technologist performs 3D digital mammography to assist in the diagnosis of disease in the OBGYN office. Must be able to work independently without supervision and have excellent problem-solving skills.

• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammograms
• Apply analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information.

• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT Registration R.T.(R) Required.
• ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) Required.
