Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC in New York City seeks a Mammography Technologist to deliver high-quality 3D digital mammography with clinical judgment and compassionate patient care. You will work within a collaborative breast imaging team in a respected private practice in Manhattan.

The role requires ARRT certification in Mammography, ARRT registration, and state licensing as applicable, with a minimum of two years’ mammography experience and commitment to MQSA/ACR guidelines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program is required.
• ARRT Registration R.T.(R) Required and ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) Required.
• State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable) and maintaining registry status with ongoing education are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammograms and quality control procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammograms.
• Apply analytical skills to interpret mammographic images and verify patient information.
• Complete patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
• Maintain medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
• Ensure timely delivery of results and escalate when needed.
• Support MQSA and ACR requirements and comply with continuing education.

Education

The Mammography Technologist performs 3D digital mammography to assist in the diagnosis of disease in the OBGYN office. Must be able to work independently without supervision and have excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Perform mammograms and quality control procedures.
• Ensure proper functioning of mammography equipment and address any malfunctions.
• Maintain meticulous attention to detail during all procedures.
• Communicate with radiologists regarding mammograms
• Apply analytical skills to interpret mammographic images, assess quality, and verify patient information.
• Accurately complete all patient information requirements and necessary paperwork.
• Complete administrative tasks to ensure timely exam interpretation.
• Complete necessary medical records, including consents, billing, and supply monitoring.
• Ensure timely delivery of mammography results, escalating to management or a radiologist when results exceed standard turnaround times.
• Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements.
• Adhere to and maintain continuing education requirements mandated by MQSA.
