Job summary

Kent Hospital in Rhode Island is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to provide high-quality DSA and cut film radiographs with minimal radiation exposure. You will operate radiographic equipment and the integrated computer system, and prepare images for radiologists and surgeons.

Responsibilities include assisting radiologists with procedures, preparing instruments and sterile supplies, positioning patients for optimal views, and explaining exams to reassure patients.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology required.
• Minimum of one year of related work experience.
• CPR certification required.
• ARRT registration required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate radiographic equipment and computer systems.
• Process, examine, and evaluate radiographs for final interpretation.
• Assist radiologists with procedures, including film programming and contrast injection.
• Prepare instruments, guidewires, catheters, syringes and injectors using sterile technique.
• Position the patient to obtain optimal imaging views.
• Explain the exam to patients and ease any anxiety.
• Respond to after-hour callbacks on an emergency basis.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
