Job summary

Kent Hospital in Rhode Island is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to plan and perform diagnostic patient examinations using radiographic equipment under the supervision of the Radiology Manager and Radiologist.

Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, reviewing requisitions, ensuring quality images, performing quality control, training staff and students, and collaborating with other departments to coordinate scheduling and patient access.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology and minimum six months related experience.
• CPR Certification required.
• Rhode Island Radiology License and ARRT Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Operate imaging equipment for diagnostic radiographs safely and efficiently.
• Review requisitions and set up rooms for examinations.
• Evaluate films for quality and repeat inadequate images as needed.
• Perform quality control on imaging and related equipment per standards.
• Train employees and students in procedures.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate scheduling and patient access.
