Job summary

Brown University Health seeks a radiologic technologist to perform radiographic procedures under the Diagnostic Imaging Manager in Providence, RI. You will apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis while ensuring patient safety and comfort across adult and geriatric populations.

You will operate radiographic equipment, process images into RIS/PACS, and assist with contrast media. Must hold RI license and ARRT certification to support hospital imaging services.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal training in an AMA-approved accredited school of radiologic technology.
• Current license to work in the State of Rhode Island; ARRT certification required.
• Demonstrated knowledge to provide care to adult and geriatric patients.

Responsibilities

• Meets and explains radiologic examinations to patients to reduce apprehension.
• Schedules patients for radiologic examinations and maintains efficient flow.
• Processes radiographic images using CR Readers and PACS RIS systems.
• Operates fixed and portable radiographic equipment as required.
• Assists physician in administration of contrast media and ensures safety.
