Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health seeks a capable Radiologic Technologist for Bridgeport Hospital. You will perform radiographic and fluoroscopic studies, including mammography, while ensuring accuracy of records and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The role requires at least three years of RT experience, CT licensure, and ARRT certifications (R) and (M). Strong patient-focused communication and teamwork are essential in this patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years experience as RT; mammography experience preferred.
• State of CT Licensure. ARRT (R) (M)

Responsibilities

• Performs all diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures within assigned areas.
• Performs radiographs promptly and professionally, observed by supervisor and patient feedback.
• Performs all mammographic procedures, OC tests and maintains records per ACR guidelines.
• Reviews necessary documentation to perform diagnostic procedures.
• Performs preventative visual and manual inspections for radiographic rooms/equipment and reports problems.
• Participates in training and instruction of staff and radiology students.
• Demonstrates leadership skills and professional growth.
• Accurately enters all demographic information into the computer with minimal errors.
• Plans and implements care for assigned patients across development stages.
• Contributes to quality management and continuous improvement programs.
• Monitors patient satisfaction metrics like ED and inpatient wait times and assists with care coordination.
• Chaperones patients when necessary
