Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Mammography to join our Diagnostic Radiology team in New Haven, CT. You will perform high-quality mammographic exams, ensure patient safety, and adhere to ACR/FDA guidelines while supporting the radiologists’ interpretations.

Graduation from AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program; ARRT RT certification and CT experience a plus. Preference for AS or BS degrees; CPR preferred.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • AS degree preferred; BS degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated mammography skills and knowledge of QA standards.
  • ARRT RT certification and CT experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Performs quality mammographic examinations meeting age-specific standards for radiologist interpretation.
  • Operates mammography and computer equipment; adheres to ACR and FDA/MQSA guidelines.
  • Prepares exam rooms ensuring clean, safe environments and adequate supplies.
  • Provides compassionate patient care and explains procedures to ensure comfort and cooperation.
  • Maintains teamwork and professional conduct with staff, physicians, and supervisors.
  • Pursues ongoing education to meet regulatory guidelines and inspections.
  • Strives for high patient satisfaction as measured by Press Ganey surveys.
