Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform mammographic and DEXA procedures under supervision. The role requires ARRT Mammography certification and NJ licensure, with CPR certification and strong patient care skills.

Responsibilities include preparing and operating imaging equipment, verifying patient identity, and ensuring quick PACS archiving while maintaining a clean, efficient workflow in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Registered in Radiology Technology by the ARRT with advanced Mammography Certification and a current and valid license from the State of NJ DEP.
• Current CPR certification thru the American Heart Association.
• Completion from an accredited radiography program and registered in radiography and mammography by the ARRT, or registry eligible.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and operate imaging equipment following physicians’ orders.
• Produce detailed computer-generated scans for breast and DEXA exams; verify patient identity and select patient from work list.
• Ensure exam is archived on the PACS and maintain orderly facilities; stay current with imaging protocols.
