Job summary

Cape Cod Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic breast imaging, including DEXA when required. You will ensure MQSA compliance, review orders, and provide clear explanations to patients about the imaging process.

The role requires an accredited radiologic technology program graduate with ARRT certification, MA licensure, and BLS. You will work in a team to achieve accurate, timely imaging and maintain quality control across procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• ARRT Certification in Radiologic Technologies.
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist licensure.
• 2 years’ experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• BLS certification.
• Upon training, pass ARRT Mammography registry within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic exams and procedures, including stereotactic, and DEXA as needed.
• Maintain MQSA/compliance through quality assurance checks and documentation.
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure proper patient identification and safety.
• Review requisitions and ensure accurate billing and radiology reports.
• Explain procedures to patients and provide appropriate education on mammography processes.
• Coordinate with radiologists and other staff to ensure accurate exams and timely workflow.
