HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine breast imaging including stereotactic and ABBI procedures on a PRN/per diem basis. The role emphasizes compassionate patient care and precise image quality.

Qualified candidates will have a 24-month AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program, Florida CRT, ARRT-M, BLS, and prior mammography experience; the team delivers patient-centered imaging in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 24-month program at an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology school.
• Minimum of 1–3 years of Mammography experience.
• Florida CRT license active.
• ARRT (M) certification in mammography.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography/radiology studies with high-quality images for interpretation.
• Position and prepare patients, ensuring modesty and safety.
• Document clinical information and obtain consent in MEDITECH.
• Communicate effectively with patients and radiologists.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Mammography Technician / Mammographer - PRN/Per Diem

Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed Mammography Technician to perform routine preventative and diagnostic mammographic procedures including stereotactic, ABBI and breast needle localization procedures. This is a PRN/per diem/as-needed role. We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.

As a Mammographer, responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform mammography/radiology studies in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner obtaining high-quality images ready for interpretation

• Prepare, transfer and position patients as needed ensuring modesty, safely utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices indicated

• Document all pertinent clinical information prior to exam, obtain informed consent, and complete all required fields within MEDITECH accurately and on time

• Maintain proactive and effective communication with patient and other caregiver colleagues to include the radiologist

• Check the operation of the equipment, maintain cleanliness of table/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases and keep room stocked with necessary supplies

Qualifications

• Graduate of a 24-month program at an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology school

• Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of previous experience as Mammography Tech

• Clear/Active Florida Board of Health licensure (CRT)

• ARRT (M) – advanced certification in mammography

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Knowledge of the use and maintenance of equipment specific to mammography

• Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs.
