Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa is seeking a Registered Mammographer to join the Breast Imaging team. You will perform high-quality mammography exams, assist with recalls and imaging coordination, and support accreditation activities.

Required: BLS CPR, RT(R)(M), ARRt, MQSA/ACR knowledge. This PRN, Day shift role offers benefits from day one and growth within a faith-based health system.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Mammography procedures and MQSA/ACR regulations.
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors for optimal images.
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety.

Responsibilities

• Participates in patient tracking and recalls, imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required.
• Supports breast center accreditation and community screening initiatives.
• Follows protocols for patient identification, consent, and time-out procedures.
• Maintains accurate documentation in EMR and PACS.
• Performs high-quality mammography examinations per provider orders and protocols.

Job Description:

• Participates in patient tracking and follow-up processes, assisting with recalls, additional imaging coordination, and biopsy scheduling as required by departmental workflows.
• Supports breast center initiatives, such as accreditation preparation, community screening events, or quality improvement activities.
• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS systems.
• Performs high-quality examinations in accordance with provider orders and departmental protocols, ensuring optimal image quality for accurate diagnosis.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of Mammography and Diagnostic Radiological Procedures/Positions
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors
• Knowledge of Mammography equipment and MQSA and ACR regulations
• Ability to learn and master new tasks related to Image Quality and Radiation Safety
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with people of various diverse backgrounds

Education:

• Associate [Preferred]
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Work Experience:

• 1+ year of experience [Required]
