Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform high-quality MRI examinations and support diagnostic imaging across our facility. You will prepare patients, operate advanced MRI equipment, and uphold strict safety and image quality standards.

Responsibilities include documenting procedures in EPIC, coordinating with technicians, and assisting with breast imaging workflows while supporting ongoing training for new staff and learners.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED with 1–3 years under radiologists' supervision at hire.
• Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (CPR) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI scans and operate MRI equipment.
• Ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment and capture high-quality images.
• Maintain documentation and communicate equipment issues to the Technologist Coordinator.
• Assist with breast imaging procedures and conference materials as needed.
• Participate in orientation and training of new staff and students.

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.
To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Understands the concept of all mammography related equipment
• Responsible for maintaining ACR/FDA/MQSA continuing medical education and minimum 200 mammograms/2 years
• Communicate with Technologist Coordinator when a unit is down or repairs are needed
• Manage documentation, data entry and charges for all breast procedures in EPIC
• Assists with Breast Cancer Conference materials for the radiologist
• Participates in orientation and training of new employees, students and others as appropriate
