Job summary

Memorial Hospital - North Georgia is seeking an MRI Technologist (PRN) at the Georgia Campus to perform high-quality MRI examinations. You will prepare patients, operate MRI equipment, and ensure safety while capturing detailed images for accurate diagnosis.

The role requires ARRT certification (Radiography or MR), completion of an accredited radiology program, and CPR. Preferred candidates have MR experience and MRI program training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology program; ARRT registered; CPR certification.
• MR experience is preferred (1–3 years).
• Completion of an MRI program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for MRI scans and operate MRI equipment.
• Ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment and protect image quality.
• Capture detailed anatomical MRI images with expert technical proficiency.
• Prioritize workload and coordinate multiple exams in sequence.
• Verify doctor’s orders and requisitions for accuracy.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

PRN at Georgia Campus

As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.

Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.

To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.

• Uses two patient identifiers
• Compares doctor’s order to requisition for accuracy
• Assesses patient for possible artifacts and takes appropriate action to prevent interference with image
• Routinely demonstrates the ability to prioritize workload.
• Coordinates multiple exams into the proper sequence to ensure no conflicts of exams.
• Assesses the doctor’s order and the patient’s diagnosis to determine optimal images.

Job Requirements

• Other Graduate of an accredited Radiology program, upon hire and
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT, upon hire or

• Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
