Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Mammography Technologist, you will be vital in early breast cancer detection, performing high‑quality mammographic imaging with precision and compassion.

Every day you will expertly operate equipment, position patients, ensure comfort, perform quality control, and maintain accurate records. You will collaborate with radiologists and adhere to safety and regulatory standards for comprehensive breast health.

Success in this role requires current mammography certification, exceptional technical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a compassionate demeanor, ensuring accurate diagnostics and positive patient experiences.

• Produces optimum quality mammographic images meeting licensing and regulatory standards as directed by the St. Vincent Breast Center Policy and Procedure Manual.
• Performs screening and diagnostic mammography procedures in accordance with policy and radiologist specifications.
• Performs special mammography procedures in accordance with policy and radiologist specifications.
• Biopsy procedures: Mammatome, ABBI, Wire/needle localization.
• Performs clerical tasks as required in the absence of a clerk.
• Completes all paperwork/documentation pertaining to the mammographic procedure.

Job Requirements

• One (1) year experience as a Registered Technologist.
• Medical Radiographer AR upon hire.
• Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT within 12 months.
• Basic Life Support – CPR within 30 days.
