Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality breast imaging with precision and compassion. You will operate equipment, position patients, and maintain meticulous records while collaborating with radiologists to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

This role requires active mammography certification, WA licensure, ARRT (M) (R), and AHA BLS, with a potential to assist in stereotactic breast biopsies as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program with relevant experience.
• ARRT (M) (R) certification is required.
• Current Washington state radiology licensure is required.
• BLS certification from AHA is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography equipment and position patients for optimal imaging.
• Prepare equipment, perform QA checks, and ensure high-quality image production.
• Explain procedures and maintain patient comfort and safety durante exams.
• Document exams and archive images per departmental and licensure rules.
• Assist with stereotactic breast biopsies and respond to emergencies when needed.
