Job summary

Ascension is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join the Mammography Float Pool in the Tulsa area, providing high-quality mammography imaging across Ascension St. John Medical Center and affiliate facilities. The role focuses on precise positioning, accurate exposure settings, and reliable PACS workflow support.

You will educate patients about screening, document findings, and participate in safe, compliant imaging practices in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration as required for radiologic imaging.
• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision mammography exams with proper positioning and parameter settings.
• Educate and support patients about screening and breast health.
• Ensure imaging records, histories, and markers are uploaded to PACS for physician review.
• Uphold radiation safety and maintain quality standards.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Perform high-precision mammography exams by expertly positioning patients and adjusting technical parameters to produce the clearest possible diagnostic images for early detection.
• Educate and support patients throughout the imaging process, providing clear insights into the role of regular screening to empower them in their preventative breast health journey.
• Deliver meticulous diagnostic records by ensuring all images, patient histories, and markers are accurately captured and uploaded to the digital system (PACS) for seamless physician review.
• Uphold rigorous radiation safety and quality standards to create a secure, compliant environment that protects both our patients and our clinical team.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s)

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following:
• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

• 2 years mammo experience preferred.
