Job summary

Roxbury Community College (RCC) is seeking two part-time Food Pantry Student Assistants to support the on-campus Food Pantry in Building 4, Room 103A. This Federal Work-Study role involves stocking, organizing, distributing supplies, and assisting students accessing food and personal-care resources.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled RCC student in good academic standing and eligible for Federal Work-Study.
• Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to follow established procedures.
• Strong customer-service and professional communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact respectfully with students from varied backgrounds.
• Interest or experience in customer service, food access, community service, inventory, or student support.

Responsibilities

• Provide entry-level operational and customer-service support for RCC's on-campus Food Pantry.
• Stock, organize, label, and maintain pantry shelves and supplies.
• Assist with routine check-in and distribution processes under staff direction.
• Track inventory and routine usage information using approved forms or systems.
• Maintain an orderly pantry area and assist with receiving and organizing approved deliveries.
• Provide approved information about pantry hours and resources and refer eligibility or support questions to Project Access staff.
• Do not independently determine student eligibility or provide case-management services.
