Job summary

Carleton Living Property Management Services is seeking a Make Ready Technician for The Edge Apartments. The role focuses on preparing apartments for move-in, cleaning the exterior of the property, and supporting a tight-knit team dedicated to resident satisfaction.

You will handle repairs, ensure appliances function correctly, and coordinate with management to address major issues before turnover. A proactive, customer-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Team-oriented and able to take direction while working independently.
• Commitment to exceptional customer service is critical.
• Some plumbing, electrical, general maintenance and appliance repair knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Remove trash and items left by previous resident.
• Repair and prepare walls, doors, wood trim, closets, and cabinets for painting.
• Repair glass items such as windows, medicine cabinets, light globes, mirrors, etc.
• Ensure proper operation of stove, vent-a-hood, garbage disposal, refrigerator, dishwasher, water heater, HVAC, washer and dryer and other appliances.
• Report major problems to management before move-in.
• Ensure window blinds/curtains operate properly.
• Install weather stripping around doors/windows as required.
• Repair bathroom tile where needed.
• Re-key master locks and provide keys before move-in.
• Repair leaking faucets and water lines.
