Job summary

Greenwood Star is seeking a Make Ready Technician/Groundskeeper in Lawrenceville, GA to prepare residential units for new tenants. You will inspect vacant units, maintain grounds and entrances, and assist with making apartments ready for move-in.

The role includes basic make-ready work, turnover support, and adherence to safety standards. The position offers benefits such as medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, PTO, a 401(k), and performance-based bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or related field.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of vacant units to identify necessary repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community, including grounds, sidewalks, parking areas, breezeways, stairwells, and building entrances.
• Pick up trash and debris, empty outdoor receptacles, clean dumpster or compactor areas, and maintain pet-waste stations.
• Assist with preparing vacant apartments for move-in, cleaning units, and completing assigned make-ready checklists.
• Perform basic make-ready work.
• Assist the maintenance team with apartment turns, preventive maintenance, appliance movement, supply deliveries, and other projects.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and communicate effectively with property management regarding progress and any issues encountered.
