Job summary

Planned Parenthood Mar Monte (PPMM) is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to lead a regional portfolio of high-impact donors and campaigns. You will be a senior fundraiser, shaping strategy for both 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) giving, and collaborating with leadership, volunteers, and a dedicated development team.

You’ll manage cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship, building lasting donor relationships, tracking progress, and delivering timely impact reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Fundraising experience with individuals or major gifts.
• Strong relationship-building skills with donors and volunteers.
• Excellent written, verbal, and public speaking abilities.
• Familiarity with fundraising databases and CRM systems.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gift donors and prospects.
• Develop and execute regional fundraising strategies aligned with goals.
• Build and manage a portfolio of major donors.
• Create individualized engagement strategies linking donor values to priorities.
• Represent PPMM to donors and community leaders as a senior fundraiser.
• Partner with leadership and volunteers on engagement opportunities.
• Ensure stewardship including timely acknowledgment and impact reporting.
• Track donor activity and contribute to forecasting and reporting.
• Plan donor meetings and cultivation events with the Development Team.

The Opportunity

As a Major Gifts Officer, you will play a central role in shaping and advancing PPMM’s major gift program for both our 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations within your assigned region. You will manage and grow relationships with donors capable of giving $10,000–$100,000+ , serving as a strategic partner, storyteller, and steward.This position offers:

WhatYou’llDo

• Build and manage a portfolio of major donors with care, intention, andlong ‑ termvision.
• Create individualized engagement and solicitation strategies that connect donor values to organizational priorities.
• Represent PPMM to influential donors, community leaders, and public audiences asa senior fundraiser.
• Partner with leadership and volunteers on meaningful donor engagement opportunities and solicitations.
• Ensure exceptional stewardship, includingtimelyacknowledgment, impact reporting, and recognition.
• Track donor activity and progress using fundraising software and contribute to thoughtfulgoal ‑ setting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Plan donor meetings and cultivation events with support from the Development Team.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of professional fundraising practices and donor engagement strategies
• Comfort managing multiple priorities in afast ‑ paced, evolving environment
