Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking a Major Gifts Manager in Baltimore, MD to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts of $1,000+ from current and prospective donors. You will build relationships, move mid-level donors into major gifts, and support capital and endowment campaigns with the Development team.

Under the Director of Development, you will maintain accurate donor records, utilize wealth screening tools, and contribute to the organization’s mission through strategic fundraising

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; three years in major gift fundraising
• Experience identifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding donors
• Experience with donor databases and CRM systems; moves management
• Ability to manage a portfolio of donors and prospects
• Strong collaboration with development team for strategy execution

Responsibilities

• Plan and evaluate a major gifts program aligning with fundraising goals
• Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward at least 200 major gift donors annually
• Develop and manage donor portfolio and prospect movement
• Move mid-level donors into major gift pipeline through engagement
• Prepare proposals and solicitation materials
• Maintain donor records and activity in CRM; generate reports
