TAO Group Hospitality in New York is seeking a seasoned Maitre'D to manage guest flow, reservations, and front-desk operations at TAO Downtown. You will partner with service teams to maximize seating, ensure smooth shifts, and uphold brand standards in a high-energy nightclub and dining venue.

The role requires at least 1 year of Maitre'D experience, the ability to lead with poise, and a commitment to guest satisfaction amid a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Maitre'D experience or equivalent Tao Group Hospitality experience.
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Anticipates and accommodates all needs of the guest
• Manages seating for reservations and walk-ins
• Maintains entrance area and venue cleanliness
• Complies with Health and company sanitation standards
• Actively takes and processes reservations
• Assists with incoming calls and guest questions
• Strategically plots reservations and accommodates walk-ins
• Provides dining room team with initial table setup
• Sets up front desk area and handles opening/closing procedures
• Ensures menus and menu books are current
• Completes opening and closing duties as directed
• Reports breakage or damage to management
• Attends daily pre-service meetings and reviews VIPs
• Fosters relationships with regular guests
• Participates in training and team meetings
• Maintains professional attitude and teamwork
